WIRELESS FIBER: LAST MILE SOLUTIONS
The last mile is always the most difficult. With wireless local loops from FLA.net, we can provide gigabit transport to national fiber backbones or IP connectivity through our IP transit network.
Utilizing full duplex, 24 GHz point to point technology, our wireless local loops are reliable, secure, and can instantly be deployed anywhere. The innovative technology was purpose-built to address the specific challenges of outdoor, PtP (Point-to-Point) bridging and high-performance network backhauls. Every aspect of the radio has been carefully simulated and designed to optimize range, speed, and latency performance in the harshest RF noise environments.
Wireless: Faster Than Light
Unlike Conventional wireless technology that has much higher latency than wired links, our wireless loops can transmit data synchronously without any wait time. This dramatically brings the latency of our wireless links down to levels that are actually faster than fiber links.
The speed of light through fiber optics is actually slower than through air. The speed of light through a typical fiber optic cable is 200,000 kilometers per second. Our wireless loops use microwave frequencies which travel at almost 300,000 kilometers per second. This is 1.5x faster than through fiber!
